About the Role

Mindshare (a GroupM agency) is hiring a Media Buying Manager responsible for negotiating media deals, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring smooth campaign execution for local clients. This is a high-impact role combining strategic planning with operational coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate and close media buying deals
• Monitor ad placements, TV ratings, and campaign KPIs
• Coordinate with internal strategy, planning, and channel partners
• Track and report campaign performance and channel droppages
• Ensure accurate CPRP (Cost Per Rating Point) calculations

Growth Timeline

• 3 months: Learn tools, processes & execute basic campaigns
• 6 months: Handle negotiations, build media partner relationships
• 12 months: Lead deal-making, promote proprietary tools, manage client accounts

Requirements

• Education: BBA/MBA (or equivalent) from a reputable university
• Experience: 2+ years in media buying
• Skills:
  • Strong communication & negotiation
  • Excellent analytical & time management skills
  • Familiarity with media systems/tools
