Financial Coverage
The QECS is a fully funded scholarship, and the support includes:

Full Tuition Fees
All tuition fees for the duration of the Master’s program at the host university are covered. -
Living Expenses
A monthly stipend is provided to cover accommodation, food, local transportation, and other daily costs. -
Airfare
The scholarship covers the cost of a return airfare ticket between the scholar’s home country and the host country. -
Research Grants
Additional funds are available to support research related activities during the course of study, such as materials, conference travel, or other academic costs related to the program. -
Other Support
Some scholarships may also include allowances for medical insurance, visa fees, or settlement costs, depending on the host country’s policies.
Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Applicants must be citizens of low and middle income Commonwealth countries. These countries are identified based on the World Bank’s income classifications.

Academic Qualifications: Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification that enables them to undertake a Master’s degree program.

Age & Experience: Typically, candidates should be recent graduates or early career professionals demonstrating potential for leadership and impact in their home country.

Commitment to Development: Applicants must show a strong commitment to applying their knowledge and skills to contribute to the social or economic development of their home country upon graduation.

English Proficiency: Since programs are taught in English, applicants may need to demonstrate proficiency through recognized language tests such as IELTS or TOEFL if required by the host university.
