Chevening Scholarships enable outstanding emerging leaders from around the world to pursue a fully-funded one-year Master’s degree at any UK university. Applications for the 2027-2028 cohort are now open. Beyond funding a Master’s, Chevening builds a global network of future leaders who go on to work closely with the UK.
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory (Pakistan is eligible)
- Minimum two years of professional work experience (approximately 2,800 hours) after your undergraduate degree
- Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies you for a UK Master’s programme
- Apply to three different eligible UK university courses, with at least one unconditional offer by the deadline
- Commit to returning to your home country for at least two years after the scholarship ends
Not Eligible If You
- Hold British or dual British citizenship (limited exceptions apply)
- Currently reside in the UK
- Work for a government department or the British Council
- Have previously received a UK government-funded scholarship
