This role involves supporting the Orthotics & Prosthetics Unit by assisting in patient assessments, device fabrication, and overall unit management. The candidate will also contribute to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism within the department, while handling administrative and operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the assessment and measurement of patients, including taking accurate impressions necessary for the creation of orthotic and prosthetic devices. Support the design and fabrication process by working with patient measurements, clinical requirements, and physician prescriptions to ensure devices are tailored to individual needs. Help maintain quality control, safety protocols, and professional standards within the Orthotics & Prosthetics Unit. Manage front desk operations and oversee activities in the workshop or surgical shop to ensure smooth daily functioning. Participate in clinical documentation, data collection, and report preparation. Assist in organizing and contributing to departmental meetings and handle routine administrative tasks to support the unit’s efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Orthotics & Prosthetics is essential. Candidates should have a solid understanding of patient assessment techniques and rehabilitation practices relevant to orthotic and prosthetic care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively with patients, clinicians, and team members.
