Key Responsibilities:
File Preparation: Manage color separation, trapping, overprinting, and image retouching for Gravure and Flexo printing.
Technical Optimization: Adjust layouts based on cylinder circumference, gear pitch, and distortion factors specific to flexible substrates.
Quality Control: Review final artworks against customer specifications to ensure 100% accuracy before sending them for cylinder/plate production.
Coordination: Liaise with the production department and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of printing tools.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve potential printing issues during the design phase to minimize wastage on the shop floor.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of hands-on experience in the Pre-Press department of a Flexible Packaging company.
Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop) is mandatory.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Gravure cylinder specifications and Flexographic plate mounting/processing.
Attention to Detail: Ability to spot minor errors in typography, color codes, and barcodes.
