Utopia Industries, a prominent textile and garments manufacturer located in Gulshan-e-Maymar, Karachi, is hiring a Garments Technician to strengthen its production team.
Responsibilities
- Examine samples, technical specifications and garment construction needs.
- Assist in developing new styles, preparing samples and conducting sewing trials.
- Select appropriate sewing machines, attachments, folders, gauges and related accessories.
- Run machine and operation trials, diagnosing and resolving technical problems.
- Provide technical support during line start‑up and bulk production phases.
- Ensure that approved sample construction methods are accurately transferred to full‑scale production.
- Recommend machines and sewing techniques that boost quality, productivity and equipment utilization.
- Work with the Quality Department to spot sewing defects and apply corrective measures.
- Train operators on machine settings, attachments and approved sewing methods.
- Support the rollout of new machinery, automation solutions and special attachments.
Who Should Apply
- At least five years of experience in the textile or garments sector.
- A graduate degree in Textile Technology or a related discipline.
- Strong technical understanding of garment construction, sewing machines and production processes.
- Effective problem‑solving, coordination and communication abilities.
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight production deadlines.
