Aga Khan University’s Human Resources department in Karachi is looking for a motivated Aspire FLP Trainee to join its Total Rewards team. The position offers recent graduates a chance to build practical skills in compensation, benefits and overall rewards management while contributing to projects that enhance employee engagement.
Responsibilities
- Learn the structure, annual cycles, policies, processes and PeopleSoft systems used by the Total Rewards function.
- Assist in reviewing compensation packages, benefits, allowances, and the Employee Rewards Handbook.
- Gather, organize and analyse rewards data to spot trends and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct research and benchmark external Total Rewards practices to support policy updates.
- Evaluate three to five potential vendors for the Reward Plus initiative based on university needs.
- Support planning, coordination and rollout of key initiatives such as the Rewards Roadshow.
- Liaise with stakeholders and vendors to ensure smooth execution of activities.
- Prepare research summaries, reports, presentations and other documentation for projects.
- Participate in Rewards Meet & Greet sessions and selected university visits to expand professional networks.
- Monitor ongoing tasks to ensure timely completion of Total Rewards initiatives.
- Handle routine operational duties alongside project‑based assignments.
Who Should Apply
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
- 0‑1 years of relevant experience.
- Strong ability to analyse, interpret and report data.
- Excellent research, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with other data‑analysis tools is a plus.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Organisational skills for preparing reports and coordinating with multiple parties.
- High attention to detail and a keen interest in learning compensation and benefits practices.
