Ccl is seeking a Legal Trainee in Hyderabad to support its commercial and regulatory operations. The role combines contract management, compliance monitoring, and risk assessment, requiring close collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial agreements such as NDAs, vendor, marketing and supply‑chain contracts.
- Maintain the contract repository through a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
- Provide legal opinions on contractual duties and potential liabilities.
- Ensure adherence to statutes including the Legal Metrology Act, FSSAI, ASCI, privacy and consumer‑protection regulations.
- Advise on product labeling, packaging and promotional content to meet regulatory standards.
- Inform internal stakeholders about legal updates that affect business activities.
- Carry out legal risk assessments and continuous research on industry and regulatory developments.
- Prepare legal reports and compliance checklists to aid decision‑making.
- Work closely with Marketing, R&D, Quality Assurance, Finance and Sales to embed compliance across functions.
- Liaise with external counsel, regulatory agencies and industry bodies on legal matters.
- Organize training sessions to raise awareness of legal and compliance requirements within the company.
Who Should Apply
- Holder of an LLB degree from a recognized university.
- Proven experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, preferably within a corporate or FMCG setting.
- Good understanding of Indian regulatory frameworks such as Legal Metrology, FSSAI, ASCI and consumer‑protection laws.
- Strong skills in legal research and risk evaluation.
- Ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly to non‑legal audiences.
- Familiarity with CLM tools or similar contract‑management software.
