Design District, based in Karachi, is looking for a creative Children’s Book Illustrator to turn stories into vivid, engaging visuals for e‑books. This full‑time, on‑site role offers the chance to work closely with writers and editors on captivating children’s literature.

Responsibilities

• Create original illustrations for characters, backgrounds, and scene compositions in children’s books.
• Develop consistent character designs and maintain visual harmony throughout each project.
• Interpret manuscripts and turn narrative ideas into compelling visual storytelling.
• Produce detailed artwork that aligns with the book’s theme, audience, and creative direction.
• Collaborate with writers, editors, and the creative team during the production process.
• Prepare final illustration files according to publishing specifications.
• Support basic graphic design tasks as needed.

Who Should Apply

• Artists with a strong portfolio of children’s book illustrations and character design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or comparable digital illustration software.
• Good grasp of color theory, composition, perspective, and visual storytelling.
• Experience using a Wacom or similar drawing tablet.
