Czech Republic Government Scholarship 2026/27 (Fully Funded)

Applications are open for the Czech Republic Government Scholarship for the academic year 2026/27. The Government of the Czech Republic is offering a fully funded scholarship for students from developing countries to complete their Master’s or PhD degree program at the Czech Public Universities. The Czech Republic is a beautiful country. The capital is Prague, with a rich history and stunning architecture. The Czech Republic is a Member of the European Union, and hence students can also travel to other EU countries. From the 1950s to the present day, more than 20,000 Foreign students have completed their studies in the Czech Republic with a scholarship from the Government of the Czech Republic. The Czech Republic Government offers scholarships in both English and Czech. The Funding is also available for a one-year Czech language course. More details are below.

Financial Support

The Scholarship Covers:

• Study Cost is covered
• Living Expenses
• CZK 16,000 per month for the Master’s Degree Student
• CZK 17,000 per month for the PhD Degree Student.
• Costs of accommodation, food, and public transport are covered by scholarship holders from the scholarship.
• Travel expenses for traveling to the Czech Republic and back to the student’s home country are paid by the party that nominated the student for the scholarship or by the foreign national at his/her own cost.

Eligibility Criteria for the Czech Republic Government Scholarship

• The scholarship is open to the citizens of the following countries:
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus (democratic forces), Ethiopia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Zambia, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Guatemala, Jordan.
• Citizens of all other countries are not eligible to apply.
• EU Citizens, as well as Citizens of the Czech Republic, can not apply.
• Students applying for the Master’s program must have obtained a bachelor’s Degree.
• Students applying for the PhD program must have obtained a bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s degree.
