Reelax Media, a Karachi‑based video production house serving clients in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, seeks a meticulous Descript Editor to convert raw recordings into polished transcripts and rough cuts for the editing team.
Responsibilities
- Edit audio and video using Descript, refining transcripts for accuracy.
- Correct mis‑heard words, names, technical terms and various accents.
- Eliminate filler, repeated takes, long pauses and errors while preserving natural speech flow.
- Deliver clean scripts and organized rough‑cut files to video editors.
- Highlight the strongest segments of lengthy recordings for short‑form use.
- Adjust audio levels and reduce background noise before hand‑over.
- Follow client briefs, naming conventions and delivery standards.
- Maintain deadlines in a high‑volume production environment.
Who Should Apply
- Full‑time candidates able to work on‑site at the Gulshan office.
- Strong command of English (reading, writing and listening) with an ear for American, British and Australian speakers.
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading accuracy.
- Comfortable handling video and audio files and basic editing tools.
- Fast, organized, and capable of managing large workloads.
- Open to feedback and collaborative team environments.
- Preferably experienced with Descript or similar transcript‑based editors, and familiar with Premiere Pro or comparable video software.
