The Digital Communication Department of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of Pakistan, is offering an exciting opportunity for media students, recent graduates, and emerging creatives to gain real-world experience through the Youth Digital Program (YDP) Batch 2. This on-site internship, based at the DCD Office in the Pakistan-China Friendship Centre, Islamabad, is designed to help young talents develop their skills in a professional media environment while contributing to impactful digital communication projects. Although the internship is unpaid, it provides valuable exposure to various facets of media production and digital storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Participants will engage in creating and contributing to a variety of media formats including interviews, podcasts, videos, reels, digital campaigns, on-camera productions, and youth-focused content. Interns will have the opportunity to work collaboratively on projects that require creativity and technical skills, helping to produce compelling digital communication materials that resonate with diverse audiences.
Required Qualifications
The program is open to hosts, anchors, presenters, actors, on-camera talent, podcast hosts, interviewers, media and mass communication students, visual storytellers, content creators, videographers, filmmakers, photographers, video editors, as well as social media and digital communication interns. Applicants should be students, fresh graduates, or self-taught creatives who demonstrate confidence, creativity, reliability, openness to feedback, and a strong eagerness to gain practical media experience. Prior professional experience is not mandatory; instead, candidates are encouraged to showcase their talent, personality, ideas, and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
While no specific prior experience is required, candidates with a portfolio, showreel, audition clip, or relevant work samples will have an advantage. The program offers hands-on media experience, practical feedback from professionals, teamwork in a dynamic environment, and exposure to digital content production processes.
