Nizamcanvas, a leading textile manufacturer in Karachi, is looking for a DM – Cutting to oversee and improve its cutting department operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely feeding of material to relevant departments with full traceability.
- Plan fabric requirements based on projected orders.
- Package cut fabrics per order for dispatch to appropriate units.
- Digitize, grade, and maintain comprehensive cutting data records.
- Maintain a database of available styles and sizes for outerwear and bags.
- Provide instructions to cutting supervisors and monitor all cutting activities.
- Allocate resources needed for cutting tasks.
- Train and supervise a team of cutter operators.
- Assist the Cutting Manager with daily operational duties.
- Manage floor environment and motivate workers.
Who Should Apply
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering or a related field.
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in the textile industry.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and strong MS Office/Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of cutting department machinery and processes.
- Excellent problem‑solving ability and capacity to work under pressure.
