Navab&Co. Accountants Ltd is an expanding practice that provides bookkeeping, tax and accounting services to individuals and small firms, especially Uber and private‑hire drivers. With client demand growing alongside UK Making Tax Digital rules, they are looking for a motivated entry‑level bookkeeper to join their fully remote team.
Responsibilities
- Enter and categorize client bank transactions on a quarterly basis, ensuring data is accurate.
- Examine bank statements and supporting paperwork to pinpoint business income and expenses.
- Process purchase invoices, receipts and other financial records, flagging any discrepancies.
- Maintain organized electronic bookkeeping files for each client.
- Prepare quarterly summaries of income and expenses for self‑employed clients such as Uber drivers.
- Compile Making Tax Digital reports for senior accountant review, adhering to HMRC standards.
- Record VAT‑related sales and purchases, assist with VAT return calculations and reconcile VAT accounts.
- Keep digital files orderly, request missing documents, and track quarterly deadlines.
- Communicate professionally with clients and colleagues to resolve queries and obtain needed information.
- Support general bookkeeping, accounting and administrative tasks as required.
Who Should Apply

- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel at a basic level.
