Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support and initial troubleshooting for service issues.
  • Monitor basic system alerts and escalate issues to L2 as necessary.
  • Assist users with technical inquiries and service requests via the ticketing system.
  • Follow documented procedures for incident response and resolution.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to L2 support with detailed information.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as user account management.
  • Document and track all incidents and service requests to closure.
  • Assist in basic system administration tasks under supervision.
  • Monitor and report on system performance and availability.
  • Collaborate with L2 and L3 teams on incident coordination and updates.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and security protocols.
  • Update and maintain knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides.
  • Communicate effectively with users and stakeholders regarding service status.
  • Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and response time objectives.

Entry Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on user support.
  • Good understanding of operating systems (Windows/Linux) and networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing tools and service desk operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of system administration tasks such as user account management.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and escalate issues effectively.
  • Awareness of IT security best practices and organizational compliance policies.
