Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support and initial troubleshooting for service issues.
- Monitor basic system alerts and escalate issues to L2 as necessary.
- Assist users with technical inquiries and service requests via the ticketing system.
- Follow documented procedures for incident response and resolution.
- Escalate unresolved issues to L2 support with detailed information.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as user account management.
- Document and track all incidents and service requests to closure.
- Assist in basic system administration tasks under supervision.
- Monitor and report on system performance and availability.
- Collaborate with L2 and L3 teams on incident coordination and updates.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and security protocols.
- Update and maintain knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides.
- Communicate effectively with users and stakeholders regarding service status.
- Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and response time objectives.
Entry Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on user support.
- Good understanding of operating systems (Windows/Linux) and networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing tools and service desk operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of system administration tasks such as user account management.
- Ability to follow documented procedures and escalate issues effectively.
- Awareness of IT security best practices and organizational compliance policies.
