I’m Hiring: *Research Associate (Part-Time) — Book Project, Karachi*
I am working on a non-fiction book and require a research associate to assist with biographical research — gathering, verifying and organising material on selected individuals.

What you’ll do
* Research the lives and contributions of selected individuals
* Gather material from archives, libraries, newspapers and published works (Urdu and English)
* Arrange and conduct interviews with family members, colleagues and associates
* Fact-check, cite sources and prepare organised research files

What I’m looking for
* Bachelor’s or Master’s in Journalism, Mass Communication, Urdu/English Literature or History
* 1–2 years’ research or feature-writing experience (final-year students welcome)
* Strong reading and writing in both Urdu and English
* Accuracy, discretion and good organisation

Terms
* Part-time (2–3 days a week), flexible hours; mainly field-based in Karachi (interviews, archive and library visits), with writing-up done remotely
* Remuneration: monthly retainer (to be discussed at interview)
* A short paid trial assignment forms part of selection
