This Management Trainee role in Internal Audit offers recent graduates a chance to work across key business areas, including finance, procurement, supply chain, sales, HR, and operations, while building solid auditing skills.
Responsibilities
- Support internal audits of various functions to assess control effectiveness and policy compliance.
- Conduct bi‑annual stock counts at sites such as Upcountry and Karachi.
- Help design audit programs by mapping processes, identifying risks, and pinpointing control points.
- Perform process walkthroughs to understand daily activities and related controls.
- Review SAP transactions and documentation to verify proper authorization and adherence to procedures.
- Extract and evaluate SAP data to spot anomalies, duplicate entries, ageing items, and other potential weaknesses.
- Develop familiarity with SAP FI, MM, and SD modules and their business workflows.
- Use Microsoft Excel for reconciliations and data analysis supporting audit findings.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen system controls and reduce manual steps.
- Check compliance with internal policies, management directives, and relevant regulations.
- Prepare working papers, testing sheets, process narratives, and related documentation.
- Assist in drafting audit reports and discuss observations with department staff.
- Track monthly follow‑ups on management action plans and verify corrective actions.
- Coordinate with auditees to obtain required information and explanations.
- Participate in departmental meetings and take on additional assignments as needed.
Who Should Apply
- Holder of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Basic knowledge of audit principles and business processes.
- Familiarity with SAP, especially FI, MM, and SD modules, is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reconciliation tasks.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑department interaction.
