About the Organization

The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) was established under the DRAP Act, 2012, and works to ensure effective regulation and coordination of the Drugs Act, 1976. DRAP regulates a wide range of therapeutic goods including pharmaceuticals, biological products, medical devices, and alternative medicines. With 13 regulatory divisions, its headquarters are based in Islamabad, supported by field offices in major cities including Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta.

Role Description

This internship offers hands-on experience in Software Development within a regulatory framework. Interns will support daily development tasks, collaborate with technical teams, and contribute to the enhancement of DRAP’s digital and regulatory systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in software design, development, and maintenance

• Perform debugging and testing of software applications

• Support database management and data integration tasks

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements

• Contribute to digital solutions that improve healthcare regulation processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering (Final semester students may also apply)

Required Skills

• Proficiency in software development, programming, and coding

• Familiarity with database management systems

• Knowledge of software testing and debugging techniques

• Understanding of healthcare regulatory systems is a plus

• Strong teamwork and communication skills
