Ziyan Textiles, based in Lahore, is looking for a seasoned Textile Weaving & Loom Development Engineer to manage weaving operations, improve loom efficiency, and develop new fabric constructions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily weaving activities to meet production goals.
• Design and produce new woven fabric samples according to client specifications.
• Handle loom installation, commissioning, and provide technical troubleshooting.
• Work with air‑jet, rapier, projectile and other modern looms.
• Fine‑tune loom settings to maximize speed, efficiency and output quality.
• Identify and correct weaving defects such as warp or weft breaks and reed marks.
• Reduce material waste and lower production costs through process improvements.
• Coordinate with yarn preparation, warping, sizing, drawing‑in and finishing teams.
• Conduct trials for new yarns and weaving technologies.
• Track machine utilization, downtime and quality metrics.
• Train production and technical staff on best practices.
• Maintain accurate technical records, reports and standard procedures.

Who Should Apply

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, preferably with a weaving focus.
• 5–8 years of experience in a weaving mill environment.
• Deep knowledge of modern weaving looms and their operation.
• Proficiency in fabric construction calculations (EPI, PPI, GSM, yarn consumption).
• Hands‑on experience with loom settings, troubleshooting and performance enhancement.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and leadership abilities.
• Experience with air‑jet and rapier loom technology, loom modernization projects, and fabric sampling is a plus.
