Jaffer Agro Services Pvt Ltd is seeking a Trainee Design Engineer to join their team in Multan, Punjab. The selected candidate will gain practical experience in the design, proposal preparation, installation supervision, and technical execution of High-Efficiency Irrigation Systems (HEIS). This role offers hands-on exposure to irrigation project design, field operations, technical documentation, and customer coordination. Working closely with experienced professionals, the trainee will develop essential engineering skills in a dynamic agricultural engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Assist in designing HEIS projects based on site-specific requirements and approved technical standards.
– Support the preparation, review, and verification of technical proposals and irrigation system designs.
– Help supervise ongoing installations, ensuring projects progress according to schedule.
– Conduct field visits to sites under installation, commissioned projects, and existing systems to evaluate quality and compliance with design specifications.
– Assist in site demarcation, installation of head units, and layout of pipe networks as per approved plans.
– Collaborate with senior engineers to develop cost-effective and technically sound irrigation system solutions.
– Coordinate with consultants, government officials, customers, and field teams to provide technical support and ensure smooth project execution.
– Identify opportunities for innovative irrigation solutions that maintain or enhance quality standards.
– Support training sessions for customers and farmers on the operation and maintenance of HEIS.
– Maintain accurate technical documentation, drawings, project records, and reports.
– Learn and apply industry best practices related to irrigation design, fluid mechanics, and HEIS installation.
Required Qualifications
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering.
– Basic knowledge of AutoCAD for technical drawing and design support.
– Good understanding of agricultural engineering principles, irrigation systems, and fluid engineering.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
– Analytical mindset with effective problem-solving abilities.
– Willingness to travel and work in various field locations.
– Ability to quickly learn and collaborate effectively with both technical teams and field staff.
Experience
– Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
