Value Engineering Pakistan is looking for a motivated fresh graduate to join its civil engineering team as a Trainee Planning Engineer in Islamabad. The position offers practical exposure to project planning, scheduling, cost estimation and technical documentation under the guidance of seasoned engineers.
Responsibilities
- Help create project schedules and timelines using planning software.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities and quantity take‑offs.
- Track project progress and revise schedules to keep work on track.
- Support analysis of material, labour and cost requirements for current and upcoming projects.
- Organise and maintain planning and estimation records for easy access.
- Collaborate with project, site and procurement teams to gather and verify necessary data.
- Aid senior engineers in tender preparation, budgeting and reporting tasks.
- Learn and apply industry standards, best practices and company procedures to enhance work quality.
Who Should Apply
- Recent civil engineering graduate (or any engineering graduate) eager to start a career in planning.
- Basic knowledge of construction planning and cost estimation concepts.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with MS Project or Primavera is a plus.
