Job Description:
The State Bank of Pakistan, the country’s central bank, has opened applications for its State Bank Officers Training Scheme (SBOTS) – 29th Batch, targeting the position of Assistant Director (OG-2). This annual induction program is designed for fresh graduates and channels selected trainees into long-term career roles across the Bank’s core departments.
What you’ll work on:
- Monetary policy and macroeconomic research and data
- Financial markets and foreign exchange reserve management
- Banking policy and supervision, plus Islamic finance
- Financial inclusion and digital financial services
- IT, finance & risk management, internal audit, communications, strategic planning, or HR
Who should apply:
- Pakistani citizens, including applicants from Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan
- Fresh graduates with 16 years of education, as required for SBP’s structured induction programs
- Candidates able to relocate to or work from Karachi, where the role is based
- Age is assessed as per CNIC records
How to apply:
Eligible candidates must submit their application online through career.sbp.org.pk, following the procedure listed on the SBP careers portal. Applications missing required details (photograph, date of birth, etc.) will not be shortlisted. The last date to apply is September 14, 2026, and no in-person or email submissions will be accepted. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via SMS for a written test, followed by a group discussion/psychometric assessment and panel interview for those who qualify. Selected trainees undergo residential training at NIBAF Islamabad before being appointed as Assistant Director (OG-2) in Karachi.
