We are seeking a creative and experienced Fashion/Textile Designer to join our dynamic design team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing innovative concepts and designs for upcoming seasonal clothing collections. This position requires a strong understanding of fashion trends, textiles, and garment development, with the ability to translate brand identity into distinctive and commercially viable collections. The role is full-time and office-based, located in Islamabad.
Key Responsibilities
– Develop creative concepts and designs for seasonal and new clothing collections.
– Conduct research on current fashion, textile, color, and market trends to inform design decisions.
– Create mood boards, design concepts, sketches, color palettes, and collection themes.
– Select and develop suitable fabrics, prints, embroidery, embellishments, textures, and trims.
– Design unique textile prints and surface patterns that align with the brand’s aesthetic.
– Collaborate closely with production and sampling teams to ensure accurate execution of designs.
– Review and evaluate samples, providing necessary design modifications to maintain quality.
– Ensure final products meet the desired standards in design, quality, color, and finishing.
– Contribute innovative ideas for new products and collection development.
– Monitor competitor brands and emerging fashion trends to identify new design opportunities.
Required Qualifications
– Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or Textile Design from the National College of Arts (NCA) is mandatory.
– Minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant professional experience in fashion or textile design.
– Proven experience within the women’s clothing or fashion industry is highly preferred.
– Strong knowledge of fabrics, textile techniques, embroidery, prints, embellishments, and garment development.
– Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or other relevant tools.
– Ability to manage multiple design projects and work effectively under deadlines.
– A professional portfolio showcasing previous fashion or textile design work is required.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
