Tahpi is expanding its engineering team in Karachi and seeks an enthusiastic Mechanical Trainee Engineer to support the design of building systems for healthcare facilities. The role offers hands‑on experience with HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection and medical gas systems under senior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers with designing mechanical building systems for hospitals and clinics.
- Create and modify technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and related software.
- Perform load calculations, size ducts and pipes, and estimate equipment requirements under guidance.
- Help prepare specifications, bill of quantities, and compliance documentation for projects.
- Learn and apply international healthcare building standards such as HTM, ASHRAE, NFPA, and local codes.
Who Should Apply
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an HEC‑recognized university.
- Active PEC registration or in the process of obtaining it.
- Fresh graduate with up to one year of experience.
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; familiarity with Revit MEP, Navisworks or HVAC design tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical ability, good command of English, and a proactive learning attitude.
