We are seeking a creative and experienced Fashion & Textile Designer to join our dynamic design team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing innovative concepts and designs for upcoming seasonal collections, ensuring alignment with current market trends and the brand’s aesthetic. This full-time, office-based position is located in Islamabad and requires a dedicated professional who can contribute fresh ideas while maintaining high standards of quality and design execution.
Key Responsibilities
Develop creative concepts and designs for new and seasonal clothing collections. Conduct thorough research on current fashion, textile, color, and market trends to inform design decisions. Create mood boards, sketches, color palettes, and collection themes that reflect the brand’s identity. Select and develop suitable fabrics, prints, embroidery, embellishments, textures, and trims to enhance the collections. Design unique textile prints and surface patterns in line with brand aesthetics. Collaborate closely with production and sampling teams to ensure accurate realization of designs. Review and evaluate samples, providing necessary modifications to meet quality and design standards. Ensure final products maintain the desired quality, color accuracy, and finishing. Continuously contribute creative ideas for new products and collection development. Monitor competitor brands and emerging trends to identify new design opportunities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or Textile Design from the National College of Arts (NCA) is mandatory. A minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant professional experience in fashion or textile design is required. Proven experience within the women’s clothing or fashion industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of fabrics, textile techniques, embroidery, prints, embellishments, and garment development processes is essential. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW, or other relevant tools is required. Ability to manage multiple design projects effectively under tight deadlines. A professional portfolio showcasing previous fashion or textile design work is mandatory.
