Awais Cheema & Associates is looking for a motivated intern to lead the construction of a residential house on a 1‑kanal plot in Naval Anchorage, Islamabad. The internship covers the entire project lifecycle, from foundation work through to final handover.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily site activities to keep the project on schedule.
- Manage foundation layout, excavation and plain cement concrete work.
- Inspect steel reinforcement and formwork for structural quality.
- Oversee basement construction and waterproofing.
- Guide RCC columns, beams, slabs and other structural components.
- Control brick masonry, damp‑proof course and plastering.
- Coordinate electrical and plumbing installations with the construction timeline.
- Supervise finishing tasks such as flooring, painting and ceiling work.
- Maintain quality control and efficient material usage throughout.
- Ensure all work aligns with approved architectural and structural drawings.
- Prepare daily progress reports and manage labor resources.
- Facilitate communication between architects, structural engineers and contractors to resolve site issues.
Who Should Apply
- Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Civil or BS in Civil Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience supervising residential construction sites.
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Hands‑on experience with basement and multi‑storey projects.
- Excellent site management, communication and coordination skills.
- Capability to manage labor, materials and timelines effectively.
