The Trainee Inverter UPS Technician position provides a valuable opportunity for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and inverter systems. Working closely with experienced technicians, the trainee will develop the technical skills and knowledge necessary to operate independently in this specialized area. Key Responsibilities
Training and Development: Participate in structured training sessions to understand the components, operation, installation, and troubleshooting of UPS and inverter systems.
Installation Assistance: Support senior technicians during on-site installation and configuration, learning proper wiring, system setup, and testing procedures while adhering to safety standards.
Maintenance Support: Assist in routine maintenance tasks such as battery inspections, firmware updates, and system evaluations by accompanying experienced technicians.
Troubleshooting: Build diagnostic skills by observing and applying problem-solving techniques to identify common faults in UPS and inverter units using appropriate tools.
Repair Assistance: Help in repairing defective UPS and inverter systems by identifying faulty parts, replacing components, and conducting supervised system tests.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all activities including installations, maintenance, repairs, and parts usage, and assist in preparing service reports and documenting customer interactions.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of oneself and the team while handling equipment, tools, and hazardous materials.
Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with customers and stakeholders on-site, addressing inquiries and providing basic technical support under supervision.
Required Qualifications
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Basic knowledge of electrical principles and circuitry.
– Mechanical aptitude with willingness to use hand and power tools.
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
– Effective verbal and written communication skills.
