AUREA, the School of Art, Design & Architecture in Lahore, is looking for a practising creative educator to lead its Pearson BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art & Design.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the full Pearson specification covering contextual research, materials, processes, creative practice and the major project.
• Facilitate studio‑based, project‑led learning that encourages research, experimentation, idea development and critical reflection.
• Ensure fair and consistent Pass, Merit and Distinction grading decisions.
• Conduct internal verification, including brief checks, sampling of assessment decisions and standardisation meetings.
• Prepare the centre for Pearson Standards Verifier visits, maintaining records, malpractice procedures and tracking action points.
• Manage studios, workshops, materials and safe working practices.
• Organise critiques, reviews and end‑of‑year exhibitions or showcases.
• Lead the annual programme review, analysing attendance, retention, achievement and grades, and devise improvement plans.
• Oversee lecturer observation, mentoring and professional development.
• Provide guidance on portfolio, sketchbook and project documentation to ready students for further study.
• Build links with practising artists, designers and galleries through guest lectures, workshops and visits.

Who Should Apply

• Bachelor’s degree in Art & Design, Fine Art, Design or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Teaching or vocational experience at Level 3 or equivalent, with programme coordination or academic management duties.
• Working knowledge of BTEC qualifications, assessment, grading and internal verification; assessor or IV experience strongly preferred.
• A strong personal or professional practice demonstrated through a portfolio.
• Desirable: experience exhibiting, curating or professional creative practice.
• Desirable: prior experience delivering Pearson BTEC Art and Design courses.
