Pena4 Tech Solutions India Private is seeking enthusiastic individuals for a trainee medical coder position in Hyderabad, Pakistan. The role focuses on reviewing patient records and assigning accurate diagnostic and procedural codes while adhering to industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Examine patient medical records and physician notes thoroughly.
- Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on documentation.
- Maintain coding accuracy and comply with client and regulatory guidelines.
- Identify and resolve coding edits and documentation gaps promptly.
- Meet established quality and productivity targets consistently.
- Observe HIPAA rules and protect patient confidentiality.
- Take part in coding audits, training sessions, and continuous learning activities.
- Stay updated with changes in coding guidelines and industry regulations.
Who Should Apply
- Graduates from any life‑science discipline (e.g., B.Sc., B.Pharmacy, Nursing, Biotechnology, etc.).
- Fresh graduates are welcomed.
- Preferably certified by AAPC (CPC/COC/CIC) or AHIMA (CCS).
- Strong grasp of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
- Analytical mindset with good communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
