Esquare, a ship management company in Pakistan, is looking for a Marine Superintendent to oversee the operations of its container, oil or gas tanker fleet.
Responsibilities
- Supervise marine, nautical, safety, security and commercial activities of assigned vessels.
- Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, ISPS and other international regulations, as well as Classification Society, Flag State and Port State Control requirements.
- Monitor vessel performance, voyage planning, cargo handling and operational efficiency.
- Conduct vessel inspections, internal audits, risk assessments and support SIRE, CDI, RightShip and other third‑party inspections.
- Implement the company’s Safety Management System and lead incident investigations, corrective actions and non‑conformance reporting.
- Provide technical guidance to Masters, officers and crew and coordinate with Technical, HSSEQ, Purchasing, Crewing and Operations teams.
- Assist in budgeting, dry‑docking activities and preparation of performance and compliance reports.
Who Should Apply
- Bachelor’s degree in Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- At least 2 years as a Marine or HSSQE Superintendent on container, oil or gas tankers, or 5 years of relevant experience in a ship management or owning company.
- Knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, ISPS, OCIMF, CDI, INTERTANKO and RightShip requirements.
- Experience with SIRE inspections, PSC vetting, vessel audits and incident investigations.
- Strong leadership, problem‑solving, negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and marine management software.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
